3g.co.uk has an interesting article about 3G bands. After reading the article I dare to say that in the near future US may start seeing more dual UMTS band phones operating in the 1700/2100 frequency than 850/1900/1700. As all geeks know at&t is running their WCDMA network on 850 and 1900 Mhz frequency while T-Mobile is (or will pretty soon) operate its WCDMA network on the 1700 Mhz band. The article points out a few interesting things and that 1700 Mhz band may be more appealing in the Americas region than the one at&t picked. Let's hope this will be the case. I would LOVE to see Nokia start churning out kick ass devices that would work in Europe and America on 1700 and 2100 Mhz bands. Follow the link above to read the article.
